HackUMass

HackUMass is an annual 36-hour hackathon based at UMass Amherst where students can build any software and hardware project they desire in an educational environment with workshops, mentors, and tons of resources to learn something new. Students across all majors and experience levels create amazing software and hardware projects and compete for over $3000 worth of prizes.

Donating funds to HackUMass would enable us to conduct one of the largest hackathons in the Pioneer Valley again, providing over 500 participants the opportunity to discover new technologies, interact with industry experts, and win exciting prizes. Award-winning food, exclusive merchandise, state-of-the-art hardware, and an endless supply of caffeine are all provided to participants free of cost! Donating to HackUMass, would allow us to continue providing these benefits, making the participant experience even more enjoyable. Most importantly, we use our funds to make the hackathon a safe and inclusive event- hiring standby first responders to be prepared for emergencies, offering overnight accommodations for out-of-state participants, and providing special meal cards for participants with dietary restrictions.
