Model UN

The UMass Model United Nations club is a speech and debate club that models the United Nations and provides a community for those who have a passion for international relations and political issues and want a more formal way to debate and discuss these problems. Our general body meetings provide members with the skills and confidence necessary to go to conferences and compete with other colleges about these international disputes. We help fosters our members debate skills so that they are able to debate in a respectful and mindful manner at these conferences around the country.  We go to conferences 2-3 times a semester and host two conferences here at Umass. One of these conferences is for high schoolers in the area, UMUN, and the other is for college students in the area, PVMUN. We want other students to be able to experience the UMass version of model un and give our club members the chance to direct and run a conference of their own, where they are able to talk about issues of their choosing. We are raising money so that we are able to allow more UMass students to attend and run conferences. These donations would allow us to do all these events and more.
