Department of Polymer Science & Engineering (PSE)

UMassGives 2026 marks 60 years of Polymer Science and Engineering at University of Massachusetts Amherst — a milestone shaped by a worldwide community built over generations.

For 60 years, PSE has been more than a program — it has been a global network grounded in connection, mentorship, and a shared pride in what we build together. Across decades, students, alumni, faculty, and industry partners have remained deeply linked, continuing to support and inspire one another.

This UMassGives, we celebrate that legacy and invite you to help strengthen the bonds that carry it forward — supporting students, expanding opportunity, and sustaining the relationships that define PSE.

This year, the Class of 2007, pictured below, is helping to lead that spirit forward by organizing a class challenge to support current students’ participation in the 60th anniversary reunion this May.

Your support helps celebrate this milestone while strengthening the student, alumni, and industry connections that power PSE’s future!

Consider making your gift during the 12:00 pm to 1pm Power Hour on April 29, when the area of campus with the most individual donations will win an additional $2,000.
