Department of Resource Economics
Today is UMassGives! Last year, the Department of Resource Economics raised over $2,900 from 29 donors, helping our excellent undergraduate students to engage with internships and summer fellowships.
Support the Department of Resource Economics today and your gift will help us accomplish even more:
- Execute large-scale events like our Alumni Networking Events. Our flagship Fall ’25 event brought together nearly 100 students to connect with alums working in Environmental, Business, and Technology fields, strengthening career pathways and mentorship opportunities.
- Host welcome events in the fall and spring, and a departmental graduation celebration, finding ways to bring our community together and to celebrate them as they near the end of their time with us.
- Sponsor our undergraduate student group, the Professionalism in Applied Economics Society (PAES – formerly RES), which provides weekly programming focused on job-readiness skills, alumni and recruiter connections, and technical skill development.
- Contribute toward our departmental scholarships, rewarding both service and academic achievement. We awarded more than $14,000 in undergraduate scholarships this spring, recognizing academic excellence and providing critical financial support to students with demonstrated need.
