Established in Fall 2021, the UMass Filipino Student Association is a Filipino-interest, not exclusive, organization that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to learn and celebrate Filipino culture.
Through UMassGives, we hope to raise money to continue our mission of sharing our rich history and traditions, as well as growing our community through our various events, like dance workshops, informative panels, food events, original merchandise sales, and collaborations with other RSOs. One of these events is our yearly premier cultural event called Bayanihan, which is slated to take place on May 1st, 2026 this year. At Bayanihan, we showcase various traditional Filipino performances, clothing, and food, highlighting the Bayanihan spirit of communal unity and teamwork.
Your donation would also help fund events for our Barkada mentorship program, which has been active since our inception. Currently consisting of more than 100 alumni and current students, the program’s goal is to help transition underclassmen into the college experience and build life-long connections within pamilyas.
