Isenberg Global Citizens

Isenberg Global Citizens (IGC) is a club and award program that encourages business students to give back to the communities in which they live and learn. Undergraduate students who achieve 100 hours of community service by graduation are awarded the Isenberg Global Citizens Award and a graduation cord in which they are honored at the Isenberg graduation ceremony.

As a club, IGC serves as a point of reference for groups on and off campus looking for volunteers. We have over three dozen partner organizations that we support regularly as a club. Activities we partake in include cooking food at local soup kitchens, teaching literacy at homework homes through tutoring, preparing cots and warm showers for the homeless, and providing services at senior centers. Furthermore, we coordinate on and off-campus events for our members including most recently a new student ice cream social, a Falmouth beach cleanup, and a breast cancer awareness charity run. Together, we have contributed over 20,000 hours of community service since our inception in 2016.

Through your donation, IGC will be able to fund events we are seeking to host in the coming years that will cover costs associated with materials, transportation, and event promotion/ coordination. Specifically, IGC is developing plans to host a campus-wide corporate social responsibility conference to bring industry experts, business professionals, and academic scholars to UMass to promote corporate social responsibility education amongst our undergraduate population.
