Support the Hannah Frilot Memorial Scholarship Fund to help UMass Amherst students pursue a future in STEM!
In loving memory of UMass Amherst student and IT User Services member Hannah Frilot, this annual scholarship supports an outstanding undergraduate student pursuing a STEM field, with preference given to those students who have shown demonstrable interest in, or commitment to, working to promote the needs of LGBTQIA individuals and/or overcoming gender equality gaps in common spaces.
Hannah Frilot was a hard-working industrial engineering student, one of only a few women in the class of 2015. The forever optimist, Hannah shared her enthusiastic view of life with all members of the UMass Amherst community. Hannah was an advocate for women and supported the Stonewall Center for LGBTQIA students as treasurer of the UMass Amherst Pride Alliance. In all walks of life, she worked to spread awareness of the various and intersecting forms of prejudice, discrimination, and privilege, while promoting equality for all. By donating to the Hannah Frilot Memorial Fund, you will directly help provide financial aid for hard-working students following in Hannah’s footsteps and help us reach our goal of raising enough funds to endow the scholarship and make it self-sustaining.
