UMass Club Water Polo is a student-run organization here at UMass. We compete in the Collegiate Water Polo Association’s Colonial Division in the fall and New England Division in the spring. We currently have 52 members across our fall and spring teams, and we practice together four times a week. Each team plays at league tournaments during their season and we play other teams at scrimmages and invitationals as well. In 2025, our fall team won first place in the Colonial Division and our spring team placed fifth in the New England Division. Club Water Polo offers UMass students the ability to stay active, learn a new sport, and foster community through competition.
Our club relies on fundraising for a large portion of our budget and UMass Gives makes up a huge part of that!! The money we raise helps to pay for travel expenses, tournament fees, and equipment purchases. Last year, we raised $5,436; this helped us to attend and play in nine tournaments over the past year, a new record for us! Any support helps, as each five-dollar donation from a unique donor helps us to win extra money from UMass’s Power Hour. Our fundraising goal for this year’s UMass Gives is $6,000. We appreciate anything you can give and it will go towards supporting our team for the coming year!!
