The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) department is interdisciplinary by name and nature, and we value diverse perspectives and experiences as essential strengths. This year, in keeping with those values, we are raising funds to support BMB majors who take part in the William Lee Science Impact Program (Lee SIP).
The Lee SIP is a 10-week summer program that is designed to expand and broaden participation in undergraduate research. Students are paired with a faculty member whose research interests align with their own. They are mentored directly by research faculty, work within a research team, and participate in professional development workshops. This program has helped foster a diverse and robust science community here at UMass Amherst, and with your help, we can expand our support for the BMB majors who participate.
Donate between 11 am and noon on April 30th to help us win a $2,000 bonus! Every contribution brings us closer to our goal.
