Support the College of Education in UMassGives 2025!

The Student Emergency Fund is a lifeline for College of Education students in need. That’s why, every year during UMassGives, we encourage our donors to make a gift to this fund. Your gift directly supports students facing financial hardship–and enables them to do things like make a rent payment, secure childcare, purchase groceries, or even replace a laptop. Supporting the College of Education means supporting the next generation of justice-minded educators.

Since the Student Emergency Fund was created in 2018, it has dispersed more than $147,000 to students in need. This year, your gift could be doubled, or possibly even tripled, thanks to two amazing alumni. Here’s how:

  • Peggy Jablonski '81, '84MEd will match the first $10,000
  • Richard Allan ‘73 will make a $5,000 gift if we reach 100 donors

"As an international student, the Emergency Fund provided timely and much needed support during a period of financial uncertainty, covering essential living expenses and allowing me to remain engaged in my studies. I am deeply grateful for this support, which significantly reduced my stress and sustained my academic progress and overall well-being."
