UMassGives is April 29 and 30! Click here to support UMass today!

The Libraries at UMass Amherst are the largest publicly supported research library in New England – and our goal continues to be to increase the Libraries’ ability to engage with students and faculty in support of teaching, learning, and research.

Serving the needs of an active university like UMass Amherst requires the Libraries to be creative, flexible, and proactive, and your generosity in giving to the Dean's Fund for Library Excellence allows us to address new opportunities and initiatives as they arise. This means we can underwrite critical projects, focus on programs that enhance student success, advance social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and make capital improvements to facilitate learning and knowledge production.

We are also able to purchase state-of-the-art equipment for use by all and acquire notable materials and collections that further opportunities for research and build critical skills that our graduates will use to solve problems of the world.

Make an even bigger impact and make your gift during our Power Hour, April 30 from 1:00–2:00 p.m. Giving during this time could help us win $2,000 in bonus money toward making our libraries even better!

UMass alumni and longtime Libraries champions Paul Murphy, Marda Buchholz, and Vanessa Cieslak have generously offered to match the first $1,500 in gifts to the Libraries during UMassGives. Make your gift now to double your impact!
