UMassGives 2025 is over, but you can still support UMass Amherst today, or any day, by clicking here!

Each semester we receive dozens of scholarship applications from nontraditional students in need, who face countless challenges as they work toward their degree. The need is great, but we only have funds to award scholarships to a fraction of students. This is where we need your help.

Alumni, friends, faculty, and staff are pulling together as a community to support our students.  All funds we raise during UMassGives 2025 (except those designated for other specific scholarships) will bolster the UWW Faculty Student Scholarship, established to honor the dedication and passion of our award-winning UWW faculty both past and present. This will increase the level of support for our students with financial need, so they can complete their degrees, celebrate with their families at graduation, and use those degrees to make the world a better place.

An Inspiring Tradition of Giving Back

UWW Interdisciplinary Studies has a strong legacy of paying it forward. We believe in our students and alumni, and we believe in each other. This communal spirit of compassion and generosity has supported UWW students for nearly 55 years. Now it’s time to help the next generation of UWW students access higher education, break barriers, and achieve their goals.

Your Gift Matters

We need your help to make this strong foundation of support for nontraditional students a reality. So give what you can, and know that a gift of any amount—no matter how big or how small—will make a difference.

If you give during UWW’s Power Hour from noon - 1p.m. on April 29, your gift will have the greatest impact, helping us win bonus funding:

•    Up to $2,000 based on our ranking in the Power Hour!

•    A generous match from our new Associate Provost Scott Davidson for the first $1,000 donated!

•    If we reach 100 unique gifts during UMassGives, it will unlock two generous challenge gifts: $10,000 from Alice Szigethy '24 and another $500 from Stephen Sleigh '86, both to support UWW Interdisciplinary Studies scholarships!

We cannot thank you enough for your support. Your gift will make a real difference in the lives of financially vulnerable nontraditional students.
