The Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management is celebrating its 50th Anniversary! As members of the 50th Anniversary Campaign Steering Committee, we write to you today with a tremendous feeling of McCormack pride. While you read this, we hope that you have the opportunity to reflect on your time at UMass and your time within the sport management department, and you feel that pride too.
In the past 50 years, there have been a lot of changes – from starting in Curry Hicks to now being housed in the internationally-ranked Isenberg School of Management – and we have made great strides as a department.
We value and share your UMass and McCormack pride, as well as your support over the past five decades, and we’re asking you to help us fuel the next fifty years of excellence by supporting the department’s current fundraising efforts.

McCORMACK LEGACY CORNER: As part of the 50th Anniversary campaign, we will be creating the McCormack Legacy Corner; apropos of Mark H. McCormack’s particular legacy in golf, you can think of it as a play on The Masters’ Amen Corner! This special tribute section, to be located on the second floor of Isenberg outside of the sport management suite, will individually honor and recognize those alumni and friends who have supported our program with a gift of $50,000 or more.
