As The Diabetes Link at UMass Amherst, we aim to foster a sense of community for diabetics on campus and provide a safe space for diabetics to share their experiences and ideas. While we are a small, niche organization, Type 1 diabetes is a serious, life-long disease that impacts more and more people each day. In the Fall of 2024, we held our first fundraiser, "PIE a DIAbetic" which was incredibly successful. With more funds, we will be able to donate to more organizations trying to find the cure and raise awareness, in addition to planning more fundraisers and events to involve even more of our Amherst community.
