People's Market
People's Market is run for students, by students. Established in 1973, People’s is a not-for-profit, student-run collective that aims to provide alternative and quality foods to the UMass community. The members of our collective operate democratically and work as a team to effectively manage all aspects of our business. Co-managers are elected to committees based on their skills, availability, and interests. Committees are subgroups of co-managers tasked to work on specific business functions, such as advertising for the Market or running our catering service.
