We are the UMass Hunt Seat Equestrian Team (UMET), and we’re reaching out for your support through UMass Gives. Our team is dedicated to fostering a community where students can learn, grow, and strengthen their skills in horseback riding. Our mission is to build teamwork and a sense of community, as we strive to create a safe space for students to develop both as riders and as individuals.
As a competitive team, we participate year-round in horse shows through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). However, horseback riding is an expensive sport, and for many of our riders, showing outside of college is not financially feasible. Your support will allow us to provide life-changing opportunities for our athletes by covering the costs associated with competition, equipment for both riders and horses, and other expenses that arise throughout the season.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your generosity directly impacts our ability to keep these opportunities accessible to our team members and helps us continue to build a community centered on horsemanship and personal growth.
