The Berthiaume Center for Entrepreneurship at UMass Amherst stands at the forefront of innovation and entrepreneurship across the campus and throughout the Commonwealth. Our mission is deeply rooted in fostering a vibrant interdisciplinary ecosystem where ideas flourish, businesses are born, and future leaders are developed. At the heart of our efforts are educational programming, startup competitions, and initiatives designed to equip students and alums with the tools, skills, and connections necessary to launch.

Start New Programming
Through donors like you, we can start programming like the soon-to-come Innovation Certificate, an interdisciplinary certificate for students interested in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. We also have our Innovation and Entrepreneurship Residential Academic Program (RAP), which began in the Fall of 2024, a program for incoming Freshmen to live and learn amongst a community of fellow innovators and entrepreneurs.
New in 2025, the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Living & Learning Community (I&E LLC) brings together sophomores, juniors, and seniors in a dynamic residential setting where they live, learn, and launch ventures side‑by‑side—benefiting from VIP access to Berthiaume Center bootcamps, incubator resources, and dedicated mentorship from Entrepreneurs‑in‑Residence.
