The Stonewall Center holds about 50 events a school year, probably more than any other group on campus, and these events are largely conceived of and carried out by our student staff. We use UMass Gives to raise money to hire enough student staff to be able to offer this high level of programming. At a time when the federal government is trying to make the lives of trans and nonbinary young people as difficult as possible, it is especially critical to be providing opportunities for students to find community, support, and a sense of belonging.
When the Stonewall Center receives 150 gifts during the 11 am-Noon EDT Power Hour on April 30, Kelly Wahl MFA '93 will donate $2,250 to the Stonewall Center.
Please consider making a UMass Gives donation to the Stonewall Center to support LGBTQIA+ students and LGBTQIA+ student programming on campus.
