Alliance for Women in Accounting

Who we are!

What started as just an idea last spring has officially become a reality! On October 7th, 2024, six undergraduate women accounting majors founded Alliance for Women in Accounting, now a proud Registered Student Organization at UMass Amherst.

As a group, our mission is to provide guidance and support to undergraduate women in accounting. Through mentorship, education, and collaboration, the organization will work to empower undergraduate women to take on personal and professional challenges in the field of accounting with confidence and determination.

This semester marks our first full semester in action, and it’s been filled with exciting and resourceful events. From hosting accounting firms sharing internship opportunities to organizing resume workshops and study abroad panels, we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received so far. We look forward to continuing our outreach and uplifting women within the accounting community.
